Snowflake Challenge Day 6

Work today was a mess, augh. *runs around in circles and then collapses on the floor*

For those of you that (like me) often dream of Real Writing as well as or maybe instead of all this fandom writing, here is a fun article worth a read (though maybe not at work, due to language): 25 Things Writers Should Stop Doing.

Day 6

In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.

Like others, I don't want to accidentally offend anyone, so I'm just going to recommend things that I love but idiotically forgot about on Day 2. Besides, I'm hard to squick--if something sounds interesting, I'll give it a look, no matter the subject matter or the pairing.

CSI: Ark by MoonMadKitty. This is a longtime favorite, where Prowl challenges Jazz to a battle of investigative wits with help from the rest of the Autobot crew. This story is the perfect mixture of mystery and comedy, and I had no idea whodunit until the big reveal. ♥

Two Houses by K. Stonham (sakon76). A bittersweet but beautiful alternative ending to Disney's The Little Mermaid. I love my Disney Princess Happily Ever Afters as well as anyone else, but this story is the foundation of something extraordinary. Additionally, there is now a second part, titled Suffer a Sea-Change, that only increases my appreciation for the first part.

Nameless by K. Stonham again, because I don't mind repeating myself when I sing the praises of someone deserving. This is my very favorite Prowl/Jazz fic, despite the potentially-triggering aspects of Jazz's backstory. The idea of Prowl so purposefully de-tuning his systems still gives me chills.
