You guys this is a real legit official Usa-chan and I love it so so much you have no idea. It's huge-- it's easily twice the size of plushieHikaru-- and it is soft and snuggly and the perfect size for hugging, or for tossing into the air, or for swinging back and forth while skipping merrily about the house.

Hannah got me this and OH GOD you guys it looks even more awesome than I could have imagined. I don't know how many of you have heard of Done the Impossible, but it's a documentary about the fans' journey to save Firefly, and Adam Baldwin hosts it, and they interview everyone and gaaaaaaaaaah it looks so great.
More books! And DVDs! And I cannot wait to check out the DH footage even though it will probably be a total ripoff! Also HAY THAR new copy of Runaways volume 1, FINALLY. Grace, if you want to borrow this instead of the terrible destroyed one you can?

Also, a very strange experience: last night Hannah and I were up at 11:30, because my pajamas were in the dryer, and HEY guess what's on Funimation at 11:30? Ouran is! And it was the Chika episode, and nothing could possibly be more perfect than Ouran on Christmas Eve, so OBVIOUSLY we had to watch it. And partway through, my grandmother (who's staying with us) wanders over and the following conversation occurs:
Nana: Oh, is that the show? The Ouran show?
Olivia: ...What?
Nana: I saw it on your list so I looked it up on Wikipedia! It looks cute!
AND THEN the next morning she saw my Hikaru plushie and we had ANOTHER odd exchange:
Nana: So you got your Ouran plushie!
Olivia: *huggles Hikaru* YES.
Nana: But the one you wanted was... was... it started with a K.
Olivia: ...Kyoya.
Nana: Yes, him! *smiles* I saw a picture of him. He's cute.
Which proves two things: one, that not even old ladies can resist the wonder of Kyoya-- and two, that my grandmother and I may be bonding.
Over Ouran.
