C2E2, Day One
The absolute highlight of the day was hearing someone behind me say, "I like your hair!" and when I turn around, it's Gail Simone. Cue fangirl flailing. Second was possibly having Bill Willingham tell me that we're carpooling for Wizard World, but by-and-far Gail wins.
I hit three panels for work, and ended up skipping the Star Wars one because I needed to eat. Also skipped the Marvel panel, as I decided I wanted to get onna traaaaaaain. And lo, at the other end of the train were Lainey and Skylie and a movie theater that served food and booze during the movie. Everyone needs to go see Rango because it is AWESOME. I crashed at their place, much to the concern of two very territorial cats and the pure joy of Ginger. Ginger looooooooooooooves. Especially chewing on my hands. Baldur has decided I miiiiiight be OKAY, as he slept on my toes at one point last night.
I found one of the booths with 5 comics for a dollar, and filled holes in both my personal collection and the library collection. I had to make two trips back to the hotel to dump them off! Terry Moore signed my 'well-loved' (very busted) copies of SiP and called me a sweetheart, and I managed to catch Jim Keefe at his booth to joke about how he's turning his students over to me in two weeks.
Today I have OODLES more panels, need to track down a rarelylynne for squeeing, and get some more things signed. Bweeeeeee! Comics! \o/
