Heard back from Colorado today. Didn't get the job.

Coming across an interesting problem in my Nano prep. I'm having the weirdest aversion to crafting a synopsis of Gathering Storm. It's like... right now Gathering Storm is this vague nebula of potential creativity (despite all the questionnaire answering/world-building/plotting I've been doing),

I have only written a synopsis of what I want to happen for Marking Time. Everything else has been a 'seat of my pants' type thing.

I'm still trying to write a synopsis. But it always comes out sounding like cover copy.

Maybe not, but it'd be nice to have something for the Nano forums to critique before Nano starts.

There are forums that critique your stuff prior to Nano.

No, I'm thinking I wouldn't like that. I'll wait 'til I've got more written. :D

And I am sorry you didn't get the Colorado job. Though I'm late in saying it.

There's a lot of people there, so I like to throw up a description and make sure someone isn't going to go like "Oh, you mean exactly like Book X or Book Y!"
