I was just studying for my exam tomorrow when I stumbled across something interesting. We have some vocabulary sheets that have words we're supposed to learn without looking up the definitions. They give us example sentences and want us to use the context to infer the meaning. Of course, some of them still have to be looked up because the sentence is so full of words I don't know...
Anyway, for you Japanese speakers out there, does this sound a little *ahem* odd to you?
わんぱくな子供が好きだ。
...Yeah.
Translation, for those wondering, "I like naughty children."
...Yeah.
I looked up "wanpaku" like...a dozen times to make sure it did indeed mean "naughty", and yes, it does.
