Diet with Iced Tea
I stopped by Burger King this morning to treat myself to some breakfast. Among other things I ordered my usual Diet Coke w/o ice. When I got to work I set my stuff down on the desk and went to take a drink of the soda. I knew right off the bad that something wasn't right because it smelled bad. I took a taste and it was the nastiest stuff I have EVER tasted. Someone had mixed Diet Coke with iced tea. >_<
So I get everything opened up and ready for work, then I called the store back about it. They apologized profusely and said I could come pick up another one. That was all well and good but I was stuck at work. So I had Bo pick up the soda for me. (I still maintain that I should have gotten a refund as well after having to make the trip back. The receipt even had the order right; it was just the attendant who messed up).
I got the replacement and was worried that maybe it was something in their fountain but to my relief it wasn't and the new soda was good. I then had Bo taste the old one to see if I was just tasting things wrong or it really was tea and Diet Coke. He thought it tasted nasty too. >_<
I can't imagine what possessed them to do it either. I mean even if they mistook what I said (Diet with no Ice) and thought I said iced tea, I still would have said no iced tea. It's not a taste I will soon forget and hopefully I will never have to taste again. YUCK!! (In fact I should have put a Mr. Yuck sticker on it, it was that bad…really!).
