I realize it will be later this week when I get the results to the situation with my knee but I decided to think ahead and start planning a little. Since I've broken 190lbs, my new goal is now to try and reach 180lbs by October 9th. Two new months to try, in other words. It's not an extreme goal and sets things out nicely for as I'm exercising right now.
I figure a goal of 180lbs would be a good range, since I am lifting weights. I expect some of that to turn to muscle over time, but on the flips side, at least it's not fat. So even if I don't reach that 180lb goal, I still have the knowledge of knowing I have turned some of that fat into muscle, which is just as good of a pay off to the weight loss in my opinion.
With this Power 90 weight lifting program, I have added a bit extra onto it. I tend to deviate from things I am unable to do currently (like lunges, dips, etc). So during those moments I do crunches and sit ups. Then after the work out I work on one of the elliptical machines. I do a 5-10 minute cardio run and a two minute cool down. Nice thing about the ellipticals here is the heart rate monitors are directly on the moving handles, so you don't have to deviate from them to the ones in the middle, thus keeping fully active the entire session.
Love it. Can't wait to strengthen my legs via this.
