the end of dorm life
Today was a sad day. Two of my roommates, Tammy and Laura, left today. That part wasn't so sad since I'm living with them again next year but Tammy did cry when she left. Which of course made me cry because I am an emotional sap lol. What was so sad about today is the fact that almost everyone in this hall is gone and that I'm leaving tomorrow. I packed up most of my stuff today except for the stuff I need for tonight and tomorrow. That was sad... carpet was pulled out of the room, desks were cleaned out, beds taken down and stripped... everything looks so bare! It didn't seem like it was really the end of the year just because we kept all of our stuff (carpet, futon, chairs, etc.) longer than most people. That was just because Linds and I aren't leaving until tomorrow and we wanted to study in comfort so we didn't take our stuff out on order day (which is a time when everything should be back to normal in the dorm rooms unless you plan on leaving the very last day- which is what we are doing).
Tomorrow is going to suck. I am moving to another building since I'm staying here for the summer but I can't move in until 6pm when the buildings all close. So I have to check out of here at around 5:30pm and then move across the street to move in there. Then go home because Sunday is mother's day and I miss my mom.
