I wrote this piece long time back, posting it today because I have been attending meetings lately, way too many for my apetite.
Excerpts from a 'so-called' meeting....
RG -The Vendor (delivering a proposal to a group of HR managers)
HM - The (lady) Senior HR Manager
Meeting is on and the HM walks in.... throws a big smile to everyone. Madam takes a seat, leans towards Onyx and whispers, "I am here to take their case, hehe".
Onyx: (throws a disgusted look) and to the self (What a bitch!)
She manages to focus her attention everywhere else other than the presenter and the presentation... and in some time......
HM: “Suppose if I want to get information that I have never looked for before, will your system provide that easily?”
RG: “Ma'am, you will have to slice and dice the data (gets a disapproving look from madam), I mean do a mix and match of parameters and the analysis will be done. Our consultants will come to you and consult about the data you want to capture.”
HRM: (gets angry and almost stamps her foot) “Don’t tell me about the consultants, tell me whether the system will provide me the data or not?”
RG: (the look on his face says he's not sure) “Ofcourse, ma’aaam iiiittt will”.
HRM: “Good”.
RG: “Errrr, Ma’am it will, definitely if the data is existing in the databases in some form or the other”.
HRM: “No the data is non-existing, oh we need to do that, is it?”
Onyx: Slaps forehead hard.....
RG: $#@!%&
Everyone else: [They (the other folks) are all sleeping, so nobody observes.....]
