Finished up this scarf for my Dad's Christmas gift a few days ago, but I finally got it photographed today.

I am very frustrated with our camera, which has lost the ability to accurately represent any shades of red. So this scarf is neither as dark as the first photo, nor as pink as the second photo - it's actually burgundy *headdesk*

For those of you on Rav who've got me listed as a friend, I changed my name this morning to RavenKnits. One step further toward getting patterns published; I figured it'd be a good idea to have my Rav identity consistent with the (eventual) web site I'll be using to publish/support/advertise/etc my work.

I find it laughably ironic that, as someone who will deconstruct a pattern in order to knit it 'flat,' all three of my active current projects are knit 'in the round.' My knitting focus has really changed this month; it's all about cranking out Christmas shawls. I have two on needles right now; a Luna Moth for my MiL, and a Kiri for my mother (sorry, no web link for this one). I am committing myself to knitting sweaters next year. Twelve sweaters. I'm collecting yarn for them (Wow, I've gone through my stash enough over the past two years that I need to buy for my planned projects!
