A counterfeit disposition can't be good for my health

Last night was weird. A bunch of us went to Buffalo Billiards for my pre-birthday. Let's go over the highlights (and lowlights):

- Drama over the meeting time. Nobody (including myself) could get to the metro on time. We arrived close to an hour after the estimated time. Not a huge deal, but there was some frustration on the parts of a few people (again, including myself).

+ The bartender laughing at Melissa when she asked if they had pitchers of Jack & Coke. Apparently they don't. Not every place is as classy as the Dancing Crab.

- Being ditched almost immediately in favor of a contest over who can successfully use the most pick-up lines. Somehow I wasn't aware of this earlier...

+ Tyler making an appearance and chatting with me for close to an hour so I didn't have to be involved in ^^ once Becca and Dan left.

- Being confused as hell when, after Tyler left, everyone had found new bffls and had merged with the dudes from this bachelor party, and finding out the game plan was changed.

- Everybody calling me crabby or bitchy or telling me that I looked pissed off because I wasn't amused by the game as everybody else.

- Being hit on by "Kevin Federline's long-lost brother" multiple times.

- Mike leaving early because he wasn't having fun at the bar (presumably due to the high male:female ratio, but I don't know for sure), causing a bit of drama between him and Emily and Melissa.

- Going back and forth on a pendulum between being fun and non-awkward to "I don't want to be here" and eventually making an early exit

Overall, it wasn't as horrible as all this indicates, but I could have done without being the one tagging along.

OH, AND ALSO. As I was walking home from the Friendship Heights metro, I kept hearing this *BANG* *BANG* noise, and in my drunken state, flipping the fuck out. I saw a jeep approaching me, and for a minute I thought that there was, or had been, a drive-by shooting. Then when he got close, I realized that he was delivering newspapers and it all made sense since it was 3:30 a.m.

social stuff, drama, party, frustration
