Good day
Heyyyy, I'm feeling better than I have in days, except for NYE but I got drunk so maybe that doesn't count.
1) I went to church this morning. It was really boring actually but it got me out of the house early and made me go for a walk.
2) I then went to the library and wrote a cover letter and altered my CV and applied to teach English in South Korea. This felt so much better than applying for other jobs because I feel like it'll actually get me somewhere. My efforts will not disappear into the abyss. I also borrowed some CDs for learning Korean. Now I have something productive to do if I'm bored at home.
3) I met up with a couch surfing guy who was one of the people I spent NYE with. We met at a cafe. We had some interesting conversation for two hours. We talking about children's ways of seeing the world, issues with capitalism, and my cousin's close-minded in-laws and why people are reluctant to change their beliefs even when someone with actual experience with something contradicts them. I told about a couple of psychology things like the belief in a just world and he told about his experiences volunteering with Helper Ex in New Zealand. He volunteered with them and did WWOOFing for three years! One year was in New Zealand. Now he is back and looking for a job that pays. He helped with building Eco Houses. Pretty cool. I wouldn't mind paying off my loan, saving up some money, and then travelling and learning that way. Well, who can predict what I'll want in two years but it's something to keep in mind.
So all in all a good day. Not sure who I'll see tomorrow though. I did lesson 1 of Korean. I will repeat it tomorrow.
