so, I did the math...
Called up my banker today and asked her specifics of my previous home loan with the ex.
The one that I agreed to continue paying 1/2 of the payment for the house (and (his)truck) even though I was no longer living there--because my name was on the loan and I KNEW he didn't have the means to keep paying it....
Because I wanted to keep my credit score up.
Yeah. 1/2 the payment from the time I moved out- 'till the time it was payed off- 25 months

$7103.00
HA!
Wouldn't that come in handy NOW to help pay off credit cards and make my credit score a little healthier!
Of course, he hasn't made any attempt at paying me back.
And all we had was a verbal agreement. Nothing in a divorce decree. Nothing even witnessed by a third party. Just us, and an agreement based on trust....which HELLO?! I should have had none of in the first place!
So-- to those of my F-List who have law backgrounds...am I totally screwed? Is there any way that I can *legally* get him to pay me back?
....If not, I guess blackmail *is* a possibility...I am still on good terms with his mom...
