Stumped
Grr, Actionscript 3 has me stumped. I keep trying to do things that I know in Actionscript 2 and it seems to kill Flash CS3 all together.
It's severely annoying that Adobe keeps pumping out products left and right. Can anyone actually afford their stuff? Granted there are student discounts on a lot of things, but I don't know anyone who would really drop a grand to update to CS4. That's an 'update'. To get CS4 Master Collection, you're spending twenty-five hundred. I sort of wish that they hadn't bought out Macromedia, and there'd be a quasi-competitor out there.
Are there any competitors out there? Sure, a few niche programs.
So instead of finishing the two badges I have in my queue prior to FC and Lurch's website... I researched AS3 information. It's a pain, everyone's out producing books on the stuff, and there aren't any great tutorials out there with information. The information out there seems to be painfully evident that they're amatuers.
I certainly want to thank people for their support. You guys are awesome.
Oh, and I should also be packing for FC. Of course I'm super busy right before I go. Ahhhhhhh!!
Lastly, Ryan was an uber-sweetheart and threw a scanner my way, so I'll get to scan in some of the drawings that I've done recently/will draw while at FC.
