Fill in the blanks about your senior year in high school.
1. Who was your best friend?
Micki.
2. What sports did you play?
Unless "getting laughed at in mandatory PE" is a sport, none.
3. What kind of car did you drive?
The silver Saturn that I also drove throughout college.
4. It's Friday night, where were you at?
Home. Maybe at the movies with Micki.
5. Were you a party animal?
Not unless the animal in question is a sloth or a hibernating bear.
6. Were you considered a flirt?
No, I think I was considered a cold fish.
7. Ever skip school?
Yes. Every pep rally I could.
8. Ever smoke?
No.
9. Were you a nerd?
We prefer the term "popularity challenged".
10. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Not once, ever, in my entire school career. I was never detended, either.
11. Can you sing the Alma Mater?
I'm not even sure we HAVE a school song. If we do, I missed out on it because I skipped all those pep rallies.
12. Who was your favorite teacher?
Several. Sean Kottke tops the list, but Keri Hagness, David Youngblood, and Mary Roach are all names that inspire fond memories.
13. Favorite class?
English, generally. I would have liked art if not for the pompous blowhard who headed the sick sad program we called the art department.

Tomball High School.
15. School mascot?
Cougars (oh so original).
16. Did you go to Prom?
Yes.
17. If you could go back and do it over, would you?
I would rather spend four years watching an endless loop of Richard Simmons' Sweating to the Oldies.
18. What do you remember most about graduation?
Being sixth, getting my piece of paper, and then thinking, "CRAP! Now I have to sit through 432 other people." I could have nodded off, if not for all the applause.
19. Favorite memory of your senior year?
The end of it.
20. Were you ever posted up on the senior wall?
WTF is a senior wall? Well, whatever it is, I'm quite certain I was unpopular enough to have been stricken from it.

Working at my mom's shop. We have come full circle.
22. Who did you date?
I always dated all my homework assignments and tests. And I never forgot to put my name on the top of the page.
23. Where did you go most often for lunch?
Like we had a choice. Cafeteria, "bakery" or vending machines. (I usually partook of a blueberry bagel.)
24. Have you gained weight since then?
I've lost a bit since then.

Worked for the summer and went to UT in the fall. Yeah, like you didn't know that.
