Popped into the library today and discovered the first volume of the graphic novel of Games of Thrones.

Hurrah, it's Merlin Month on the calender!

I have ended my holiday with a terrible sore throat.

You know, I think I really need to remember to always have a book in my head for discussion purposes.

*sighs* I love that even as I am watching a special about who the next Doctor will be and getting myself excited, Moffat manages to remind me of one of the reasons I stormed away from the show.

Have been laid low for about a week with a lurgy.

Watched the Not-Quite-Live screening of National Theatre's Otherllo yesterday, starring Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear.
November
So the reason for the long radio silence is that I was working most of October and then woke up on the 31st with a terrible sore throat.
December
So, my first topic (feel free to ask for others!) was chocolate but I accidentally mis-dated it and it's today instead of yesterday.
I notice despite the fact that this year was much healthier than last year, three of my first lines are still about being ill! I wonder if this says something about me? Possible that I need to boost my immune system really ... at least I won't be spending this New Years basically unconscious anyway!
Well, it's been a MUCH better year than last year (that wouldn't be hard really, there's a reason my first line for January was for 2012 to suck it.) I am even ending the year with a shiny new fandom! (old fandom. New to me. Whatever!) Well, hooray for me. ;) See you all in 2014!
