You helped with that btw - I tried to remember what you said about balancing scales and taking both bits away and it came back at a relevant time. I just um, took out the xs first! :D

I can actually sort of see why it would help you to take out the xs, based on what you were saying earlier. People's attitudes to algebra fascinate me like people's attitudes to animated media do ^^

Xs are EVIL. THEY MAKE ALGEBRA HARD. (although I seem to have mostly mastered the more simple bits without having to remove the Xs. Hurrah. :)
