I have had a very nice weekend at
katharos_8 but am now very tired and have a melty brain, which is a shame. But I did have a great time. We went to London and visited a toy museum which was epically creepy - all these old toys huddled together and staring at you. There was a doll that REALLY FREAKED ME OUT because the face was all cracked and it was all slumped over and CLEARLY WANTED ME DEAD. So there. But it was very good and when I am rich, I am going to pay to play rearrange their dollhouses in a helpful fashion. And there was excellent bookshopping which is always pleasing. I own lots of new, very pleasing books now! (which I may eventually get round to reading in a few years time ...)
Am pouting over the fact that the Doctor Who: Myths and Legends boxset is being released soon and I really should resist the urge to buy it due to all this scandalous book buying. Am trying to remind myself that Underworld was so dull that I have forgotten the plot of it and thus don't really care, despite the epic glee that is The Time Monster being in the box (cannot comment on Horns of Nimon but am assured it is lovely by people who know my silly tastes in Doctor Who ... )
In news that no one but me cares about, I got 82 out of 100 in my latest practice maths paper. This gives me the vague idea that I am potentially conquering the slightly easier side of maths although the calculator paper still needs some work. I have even defeated algebra a bit! (it turns out that if you do the sum having removed all the letters, it's much easier as long as you remember to put the letters back in again afterwards! And no, I'm not actually totally sure how it worked to be honest but the eventual answer was right!)
