(I feel I should add that some of these aren't totally accurate but they were just a bit too wonderful to miss out!)
Today, I finished Emma by Jane Austen which means that I have now read 75 out of a 100 of the
BBC's Big Read. Three quarters of the way through! This is great triumph for me. (it's only seven years to get this far - although I had some very reasonable distractions in the middle!) A lot of the ones left I'm rather intimidated by now but there's still a few that shouldn't be too horrible/brain breaky/wall of hideous text. And the library book pile is shrinking rapidly.
And regarding my last post, I did forget someone I shouldn't have forgotten - Ursula Donnington from N. M. Browne's Warriors trilogy. Who absolutely kicks ass and rocks and I love her to pieces - one of the best female characters out there.
