I told my boss that I will be leaving my current job by the end of December. It wasn't easy. I cried, but that shouldn't really surprise anyone. I get to pick my replacement, which is nice. I wasn't planning on telling my boss about my plans until next week, when I would be able to sit down with her and actually tell her face-to-face, but she knows me too well and knew that something wasn't right. So, she asked and I told.
I'm a little worried that the weight I've lost will slowly creep back onto my thighs as soon as I leave. In order to prevent this, I firmly intend to take full advantage of my JCC membership. Last night, M and I ventured to the scary weight side of the gym. It was a little intimidating, and smelled like boys, but Andy showed us how to use the machines and some general weight-lifting stuff. I still feel more comfortable in the cardio area, but I know that I need to keep my muscles strong to keep my metabolism going. It's all science.
In less than six months, I will be Mrs. M. That's pretty cool. I promise to go into why I decided to change my name, but not today. Today is about things less important.
