Well our birthday vacation has come to an end. WE are sitting here in the Portland Airport in Oregon waiting for our plane to arrive to take us home to Colorado. We had a great time here, and met up with old friends as well as made some great new friends. Chris danced with me on Friday night at C.C. Slaughters, and Saturday we met up with a bunch of guys we were meeting for the first time and went Snow Tubing up near Mt. Hood, what a blast to watch a bunch of bears sliding down a mountain side on rubber tubes. We then all had dinner and beer together at the Timberline Lodge. Saturday night we attended the Eagle Bar with other friends for a gathering. Sunday we went to brunch, and out for drinks afterwards where I had a couple Hot Toddy's equivalent or similar to Boilo that my parents gave us to help ward off the cold Chris has been fighting. Sunday night we went to Rock Bottom to watch the band that one of our new friends play in called "Sneakin Out". The will be the opening act for "Pink Martini" when they are on tour this year. I really enjoyed it. Monday Chris and I waited to hear from friends as we did not know their work schedules or what they may have planned in their private lives. Some said they got tied up with things at work while others never called so we assumed they were busy with their routine lives as well. So we did the casino thing, and figured if they did call we could arrange to go back into town and meet up. All in all it turned out to be a great day. We definitely are not ready to go home and return into the working world, but we all know that vacations need to come to an end, and we need to work as to pay them off. Hope to be planning things with our COlorado friends on our days off, that we all can continue to enjoy our lives to the fullest.
