the exhaustion is over, relief is here!
Hey all,
The time has come when I can finally say that I am stress-free, for the moment at least. On Monday, I switched out of my AP english class. Thank goodness for cooperative counselors. I am now in a regular british lit class which I start monday. I was hoping for an honor class, but they didn't offer one during a period in which I could take it. oh welll, can't have everything in life now can you?
This change in classes should hopefully mean that I no longer have to stay up late at night finishing up over due homework. I know for a fact that the teacher I'm getting is good at getting materials brailled ahead of time, so that's going to save me a lot of stress, something which my former english teacher wasn't kind enough to do. Not only that but since this is regular english, this should be very easy for me to pass. I'm not trying to show off or anything. But if I can get a decent grade in an Ap english class, I should be able to get a good grade in regular. Problem is I still don't know if I passed this semester of english or not, hoep I did or else I'll have to make it up at night school if I want to graduate.
But enough of that. Let's see, what else has happened in my life since the last post? Winter formal is coming up next saturday, that should be fun. I completed the phone interview with guide dogs and am now going to start working on my route for the home interview, good thing I all ready have one in mind. I'm now taking a sociology class first thing in the morning through one of the local community colleges, and it's quite interesting.
The only other thing worth mentioning is Braille Challenge. I participated in the regional competition for southern california last saturday, and took first place in varsity. Yes, San Diego did represent that day. I was the only san diego person in my group,the others were all from Los angeles. Another guy took first in JV, earning us two wins. Hopefully this means I'll get to go to nationals in june. I hope I do, since it's my last one. I don't really care so much about winning anymore, I just go for the good time and to meet new peple.
