On seeing Superbowl commercials (we don't watch things with commercials normally): "What the heck? Why they do that? What the heck? What's going on"
Alice: "Gramma Patty's at a concert."
Me: I don't think so. She's in Oregon -- probably sleeping."
Alice: Gramma's in Oregon. At a concert."
Me: What kind of concert do you imagine she's at?
Alice: Gramma's listening to jingle bells.
Alice brings me a doll with eyes painted shut on it. She is sobbing, "Open her eyes, Mama! She won't get up! Open her eyes!"
