always not quite what I expected

I have a position for next year.  I will be an EIP teacher at Heard Elem., which is the #1 school that I wanted to work at in the district b/c the principal is fantastic.  He used to be the Asst. principal at Spencer, but was moved to this school 2 yrs back, so he knows what I'm going through, at least.  I met him at a teacher recruitment fair a few months back, and he was really nice and unpretentious.

The only thing is that I will not have my own classroom, but will be co-teaching with another teacher in their classroom.  This will give me an opportunity to develop my cooperation skills.  I have always been of the mindset that if I don't do it myself, I can't trust that it will be done right, so it will be good for me to be on the other side of management.  I only hope that the teacher I am with will appreciate my skills and allow me to help her plan and execute instruction, not just 'help out'.

I had a dream that I came to school late and none of my students would listen, they just started running amuck in the halls and I was screaming and yelling and they all just disappeared into the crowd.

I'm kinda freaking out inside, despite knowing that "everything will be ok".  I just hate not knowing what to expect.
