sonic delight
the new sonic youth cd sonic nurse is amazing. i think they are the best band in the world. i wish i could go see them & morrissey at lollapalooza, but it's a 2 day thing down in atlanta after school has started back. plus the flaming lips are playing & there's something about that band i really hate. i guess it's the fact they dress up in animal mascot costumes when they play. anyway i've already seen sonic youth twice & they moved me to tears when they played one of my absolute fave songs "candle". i would LOVE to see stephen patrick morrissey though!!! he's such a dreamboat - i don't care how old he is. oh yeah, the pixies are coming in oct! woo! hopefully they'll be better than they were on the trompe le monde tour at the bitter end. chad said that kim deal has gotten really fat which scares me.
back to sonic nurse, there is an awesome kim gordon song about mariah carey's nervous breakdown. kim gordon's voice used to drive me crazy, but i like it now. every song on this cd are good long dreamlike trips. beautiful.
the new beasties is good too, yo. if anyone ever told me i would dig listening to 3 old jewish new york men rap, i would have thought they were crazy.
i am on a painting break. it looks really cool, but it is going to take forever as my painting projects usually do. i really just want to crawl back into bed & sleep, but i need to keep being productive. we are going to see the stepford wives tonight - i hope it's good.
there is a crazy scandal amongst my circle of friends & acquaintances. lp told me yesterday that this dude who was in the trauma team video with us got busted for producing a porno movie! hahahahahaha! he is a real seedy sleazeball, so it wasn't so surprising he was making porn. supposedly it was all over the news. i think it's nuts.
