can't i get an effing break???
So the newest drama on the soccer team:
Tomorrow is the semi-finals. We are going up against the hardest team in the county. They have been undefeated for 6 years. They beat the snot out of us during regular season (I played around with the game because I knew it wouldn't effect our standing if we won or lost). After our win yesterday I really thought the girls would be pumped to practice today.
Guess not.
I had 6 girls not come to practice, well actually 7 but one has a broken foot and can't play regardless so I don't care if she is there. The other 6 went to an end of course test review for social studies. I try not to get mad when it is school related but come on, all these girls have freaking A's and B+'s in all their classes. The end of the course test is a pass or fail test.
So they all got pissy with me when I told them that they wouldn't be starting tomorrow. I have changed our line-up to actually attempt to give the other team a hard time (very defensive line-up) and they completely missed the explanation, set-up of the line-up, and practicing the line-up during scrimmage. One girl didn't even show up after the tutoring nor did I hear from her all day. And the other girls don't understand why I won't let her play.
And now comes the emails from parents.......
