"I'd only disappoint you." Is something that you say a lot,
I suppose it helps, if you're true to your love,
To have something to say when I'm finding you especially hot.
But truth is something I adore,
More than love or art or a thousand other loaded words, much more.
And disappointment you are not, oh I'm sure that you might find me so
But I suspect you might not either,
Unless we both did something we'd regret, it's hard to know,
But regret isn't disappointment. I love your hands on me,
I love your arms around me.
More than anything I love your eyes on me and your kisses on my skin,
I'm pretty sure, you like to touch as much as look,
Whatever you call what we have, this electricity, this chemistry, this thing,
It is a truthful little dream
And always has been.
You wouldn't disappoint me, if you were true,
Because truthfully, what I'm interested in, is you.
