"No One Ever Died from Pushups"

This is Trainer's motto. I swear she comes up with news ways to torture her clients every single minute of the day. Working out with her has been great, personally i don't see a drop in weight, but i keep getting told by random students/clients that i look awesome. Hey, i'll shut my mouth and take that compliment anyday.

It's been almost a month working with Trainer. So she's changing my program.  She's added more upper body, and she has moved me from a ton of squats to a ton of lunges. She wants to strengthen my glutes to help my issue with the left hip flexor. Trainer is very big on core work. Her short term goal with my core right now is to get me to do ball pikes. (http://www.fitnessvancouver.ca/anatomyassets/exercise%20ball%20pike.htm) I'm not there yet. i went from just knee ins on the ball to adding push ups inbetween.

Twice a week i have homework to do for her. A whole routine she has written out for me for strength, and three times a week i have to get in cardio.

I did gain last week. A half a pound. I had lost a half a pound the week before. I'm trying not to obsess over it, but i have been getting more cardio in this week than i had before. (Trainer won't give me numbers due to an obsession i would get.. This is at my request.)

My hip feels awesome. And i do feel stronger in my yoga practice. It has changed some of my yoga teaching lately. We have slowed it up and are focusing more on the feeling and the stretch. Taking it slower. I occasionally return to this after weeks of moving faster. My personal practice though has been a mix of my own slow and easy and popping Baron's Bootcamp, Cyndi Lee or Eion Finn on the Ipod.
