I don't understand why people think that our world today is so much more terrible than it always has been. It has been bad for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time.  Violence has always existed... persecution.. torture... discrimination of every kind.  It just seems so egocentric to me to believe that the world you live in, the one around us right now, is the bad one. That it's you who has to deal with all the shit.

I'm sorry, but wake up. Take a history class. And stop forgetting.
