In February I began to compile a list of ten things I love about my life. I got to #5 and then sort of gave up. Here, I will continue.
#5.) American Idol--I gave up on my show for a while mostly because of the rejection episode that occurred a few years back. (In case you didn't know, I absolutely auditioned for American Idol in 2005--think Emily and Liz standing in the pouring rain for 2 days straight, Emily singing for 30 seconds in front of the "producers" of the show, and then Emily and Liz bitterly driving back to Nahant.) I have fallen back in love with the show that moved me to tears in high school and this man alone is the reason why.

I'm legitimately in love with him. It's no good.
#4.) The Boston Red Sox. Last night I went to the game and I was honestly almost sobbing due to my intense Boston pride. I truly believe that moments like those are what life is all about--when you can hug, scream, sing, and dance with random strangers and have it not be weird at all, that's when you know you're a part of this magical city. I get pissed sometimes that Boston is tainted with sad memories for me, but last night I said to myself: "Jesus, Emily. This is where you were born and raised. No one can take that away from you." So I danced. And I sang. And I screamed.
