Moving travails
This weekend was the first in many, apparently, of moving.
Here's how it broke down:
1. No electricity. Surprise, the company that we thought provides electricity at our new place actually doesn't.
2. No water. Sorry, I'm not paying an extra $15 for you to turn on my water on Friday, I'll just wait till Monday.
3. Satellite can't move until next saturday. Unless one of us wants to take off of work from 8 to 5, they should be there sometime during that time frame... Riiiight.
4. Box spring doesn't fit up the stairs. Since I don't want to have a living room upstairs and my bedroom downstairs next to the kitchen, this will mean a bit of carpentry is in my future. We'll most likely be making a platform for the bed this coming weekend.
5. The 'bush' (larger than many trees I have encountered) next to the house desperately needs to be cut back. Maybe someone I know has some pruning shears, axes, or chainsaws.
