Our apartment complex is going to be having their annual yard sale this weekend, and in preparation for moving, we are trying to pare down the amount of stuff we have. We already got rid of a lot of stuff at the church yardsale, but there always seems to be a bit more. We have a big box of books that we decided we can live without (we still have more books than I can shake a stick at), and we're going to try to sale the kitchen table, a side-table from the living room, and some bags and back-packs. Also the breadmaker is going (Phi has graduated to free-style bread making), and the juicer that my dad gave us a few years ago (that we really didn't want to begin with). Luckily my dad offered to buy the juicer back, so that helps.
In other news, I wish that we had enough money to get a small sectional couch, so that we could have a full amount of seating in the living room, and then have the futon upstairs so that we would actually have a "guest bedroom" rather than an "animal room". OH well.
The only good news space wise is that we won't have to keep the bicycles inside anymore, since we'll have a back yard complete with a little storage shed that looks like the perfect size for the bikes to live in.
Also, I'm really looking forward to getting some pots and planting lots of veggies, herbs, and flowers for the yard. We decided that a potted garden will be the way to go so that 1) we don't have to worry about messing up the yard, and 2) Pippin can't pee on them!
