A Day in the life of a Chicken
Today we went out to a chicken farm and collected some samples. This is the 2nd time I've been out, and boy has it been a learning experience. We got up close and personal with a few chickens because we had to collect cloacal swabs (What fun!) At least we could see in this house, the last chicken house was almost completely dark!
Once we got done I went home to shower and change and wash all my clothes, because even through coveralls, hairnets, and plastic booties (let me tell you, we looked sexy!) the smell seeped into my clothes and hair.
I'll just say that my choice not to eat chicken has been reinforced.
