This isn't irony, it's plain theft

I mentioned my taking bags of goods to charity shops recently. What I didn't mention is that I occasionally also fill up the bags from the "charity collectors will pick this up from your house on Xday" that get posted through my letterbox occasionally. (I seem to get far less here in the new house, when I lived closer to town they arrived almost daily.) Well, recently I got a plea from one of the Air Ambulance charities, and as I've recently had to use an ambulance service (not an air one, but it's nice to know they exist) and have also admitted to myself that I'm never going to be a 34-inch waist size again, I filled up two bags with clothes and duly left them out for collection on the relevant day - last Friday. Well, for some reason they didn't collect them that day so I rang them on Monday and they said thanks, we'll try again next Saturday - i.e. tomorrow. But when I left the house this morning, with two more bags to take into town as promised, the bags had gone. I assumed they'd been collected early and was quite happy. But this afternoon I got a message saying that due to the weather conditions, the Air Ambulance people wouldn't be able to collect them for a few more days. So some rotten sod has stolen them.

I have my suspicions - there was another plea from a charity I don't approve of that I received on Tuesday, which said they'd collect on Friday. I suspect that that bunch braved the snow and stole the bags that were clearly marked for the Air Ambulance bunch only, any other collector would be a thief. Do you think that's enough evidence to name and shame them? Or even report them to the police? I'm going to call the Air Ambulance people again on Monday to tell them the bags are gone, so not to bother trying to collect them - I guess I could leave that decision up to them.
