Drunken Pedantry Posts...

... are not unusual on the internet, but my latest seems to have been published on the BBC website. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/magazinemonitor/2008/12/your_letters_554.shtml (You have to scroll down a bit, mine was next to last.)

The Unwritten Laws of Internet Posting mean I must have got SOMETHING wrong in my complaint, so that someone else can call me to task on the errors I made in my post, and then they'll get something wrong, and someone else will correct that... although as it's the BBC this will die out faster than on many other sites. But I'm going to have to wait till next week for responses there, so I invite you all to point out my error(s) earlier. Did I mis-remember the editions of Trivial Pursuit? Has it already been mentioned on QI? Have I got the rotation of the Earth or its progression round the Sun the wrong way round? Did I make a grammatical or spelling error?

I wish they'd published my complaint about Pterosaur wing-spans being expressed in terms of "family car" instead of this. My suggestions of "Deci-Concordes" and "Milli-Airbuses" as appropriate units were far funnier, I think.
