So Montreal was seriously cool. I can't believe I'm Canadian and have never been there before. Friday and Saturday were mostly spent shopping. Friday at the Eaton's centre & St. Catharine's street, and Saturday at Holt Renfrew, Ogilvy's and a bunch of vintage stores. I actually didn't buy as much as I thought I was going to. All I got was this pair ( Read more... )

I live in Montreal, and the science museum is so cool! I've been to that building before, just not the actual museum part. I wish, though.

Were you checking out McGill?

Haha, yeah it was pretty neat inside. I wish I had a chance to check out the biodome too!

Actually, the thought didn't even cross my mind while I was there. But now that I'm back, I realize that I probably should have done that while I was there, haha. But oh well, it just gives me an excuse to go back to Montreal again soon!

Depends on the area of Montreal, but it is the law that French has to be predominant. So most signs are in French. Most people are bilingual, though, so it's no problem for anglos to speak English. :)

Haha, yeah, like Punz said, everyone speaks English there. I was hoping to try out my french while I was there but I never got the chance because everyone spoke to me in English.

YAY MONTREAL! I'm so glad you had fun. The Old Port is even better in the summer, though - you should make a trip with your friends then. I swear, it's like the entire city just explodes come May/June. *can't wait*

Hee. Did you check out McGill? I always walk by the tours with my friends and snark about the silly "McGill ROX!" speeches.

I love the city so much! The only thing is, I don't know if I like it in a "it's a good place to visit" kind of way or in a "i want to live there" kind of way, you know? Yeah, I definitely want to visit Montreal again in a few months when it is warmer!

Haha, I actually didn't even think about visiting McGill, for some reason. I was so busy for the few days that I was there and probably wouldn't have had time to squeeze a visit in. But that just gives me an excuse to go back to Montreal so that I can visit McGill!

Also, speaking of McGill....I got accepted today! Yaaay!!
