So, this evening I was telling awickedman how I have this theory about Teru and Sora and Elisabeth and 2012. And of course we were both moaning that we don't want that, because for that to happen, Yuuhi would have to retire, and absolutely nobody wants that. So we didn't talk any further about it

Takarazuka is, among others, famous for their production of the Austrian musical Elisabeth, which is a love story about the Austrian Empress (aka Sissi) and Death. In recent history, Takarazuka produced this musical every two years (2003, 05, 07, 09). However, they didn't do it this year. A reason for that is, I believe, because 2012 is the 20th anniversary since the premier of the musical in Wien.

Now, quite recently an actress named Ouki Kaname (aka Teru) was transferred from her second-in-comand (which is called nibante) post in Star Troupe to the nibante post in Cosmos Troupe (Soragumi). Now I have this theory that the current Top Star of Soragumi, Oozora Yuuhi will retire next year (NOOOOO! ;____;) and Teru was transferred to take over her position, because the management is planning on making her the next Death in Elisabeth.

The person I was wondering about, Nagina Ruumi aka Kacha, was "borrowed" to Tsukigumi in 2009, to play Elisabeth, who is logically the female lead role, in the 2009 production. That was very strange, because Kacha was 1) only somewhere in the middle ranks in Soragumi at that time, and is even now just around 5th rank and 2) she is actually an otokoyaku.
It has happened several times in the past that actresses have played parts in multiple Elisabeth productions over the years, their roles becoming bigger with each production as they rose through the ranks. But if Soragumi would really produce Elisabeth in 2012, Kacha, even though she played Elisabeth in 2009, would most likely get a supporting role, for example the crown prince Rudolph, who's stage time amounts to roughly 15 minutes in the over 2 hours show.
You can see, it is quite the mindfuck. X3
