I get the feeling Jeeves would say his "Tally ho" slightly disdainfully - can't imagine him being big on battles. He'd just think there must be a more sensible way of handling these things. Or maybe I'm projecting onto him ^^
I'm thinking that pairing Jeeves and Stphen Maturin up would be a dream team for British Intelligence. I can't really see Jeeves in battle, but I can very much see him as a spy, shimmering in and out of rooms, manipulating the psychology of the individual...
Stephen's wardrobe might just shatter Jeeves's sensitive sensibilities, though. I mean, he already had trouble with Bertie's alpine hat... just imagine what Stephen's bob wig would do to him.
But at least Stephen isn't firmly attached to any of his clothes, as far as I know. He probably wouldn't mind just wearing whatever Killick Stephen I mean Fry JEEVES put out for him.
(Let's take over luthien_black's journal and show her how entertaining we can be! Tally ho!)
So why do you think Lizzie challenges Jeeves to a duel? Did he dishonor someone in her family?
Well, he does seem to have the extraordinary ability to always find the worst of stuff to wear, even if there are better clothes at hand.
No, my guess is that Stephen would take the psychology of the individual into account and keep telling Stephen that Diana was due to return any minute now from Bath. Stephen always brushes up for HER.
(But I'm not very entertaining! O NOEZ! What do I do now?)
Lizzie challenges Jeeves to a duel because he broke up the perfectly good match that she had set up between one of her sisters and Bertie. Perhaps Kitty.

Aww, cute! But then, that would crush poor Stephen's feelings! Wait, I think you did the same as me. One of those Stephens was supposed to be Jeeves.
And, something you may well not know, George Smiley is an important part of Mi6 - sometimes head - in many of the John Le Carre novels. Which adds even more to the situation :)
I think he'd get on well with Jeeves and Stephen. Particularly Stephen: a reviewer once described Smiley as a "brilliant spy and totally inadequate man".
I am backing up Stephen over Horatio to walk me through a bad neighbourhood, though. The man is LETHAL.
Ahem. Anyway. Hi. :)

Can you imagine her being that worried by that? Maybe he took a dislike to one of her dresses that she was particularly attached to...

And Stephen should be getting used now to having his feelings crushed.
