Can you image the Bursar dealing with students? He'd be eating the desks. Maybe if he got some very quiet economics students...Obi Wan would be better. He'd teach in the humanities faculty - philosophy, history, something like that.

Hmm, I don't tend to think of book characters as hot. Eric Bana's meant to be playing him in the movie, which could be rather hot :)
12 (Sam Tyler) sends 8 (Stephen Maturin) on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Obviously, Sam admires Stephen's intellect, and so sends him on a mission to find him a way to get back to the present day. Except Stephen gets distracted by an interesting bird, and thus the mission fails.
What is or would be 9's (Ianto's) favorite book?
Something sad, probably. I'm getting Wuthering Heights vibes.
Would it make more sense for 2 (George Smiley) to swear fealty to 6 (Obi Wan Kenobi), or the other way around?
I suppose it depends if we're talking young Obi Wan or old Obi Wan. It becomes rather confusing if the latter, because they're the same people!! If young Obi Wan, he'd definitely swear allegiance to George. Then George would help him to smoke out Sith.
For some reason, 5 (Gandalf) is looking for a roommate. Should 5 share a studio apartment with 9 (Ianto Jones) or with 10 (Jeeves)?
Hee! I want to room with Gandalf! I think Gandalf would be a good influence on Ianto, and help him to cheer up. But really there's no contest. Can you imagine Gandalf rooming with Jeeves. It is made of awesome.

Oh, this is confusing...Ok, they'd probably go somewhere fairly quiet. A discreet pub, perhaps. I get the feeling they would talk about work, and their respective techniques for dealing with mutinous/traitorous/corrupt colleagues. Except Horatio and Sam would do most of the talking, and George would just sit there listening, and cleaning his glasses on the fat end of his tie occasionally.
3 (Elizabeth Bennett) challenges 10 (Jeeves) to a duel. What happens?
Hahahaha!!! Clearly Jeeves would come up with a cunning plan so they wouldn't have to duel at all. I'm more concerned about what would prompt Elizabeth to challenge Jeeves to a duel...
If 1 (The Doctor) stole 8's (Stephen Maturin's) most precious possession, how would 8 get it back?
Stephen would go around talking discreetly to various people he knew, until finally he found the Doctor (knowing the Doctor, the Tardis would probably materialise aboard the Surprise). I think he'd start by actually talking to the Doctor, and since the Doctor would most likely have no idea of what the possession is (Blue Peter) or its value, he'd be happy to return it. Unless of course it was actually some dangerous alien object in disguise, in which case Stephen obviously wouldn't get it back.
Suggest a title for a story in which 7 (Horatio Horblower) and 12 (Sam Tyler) both attain what they most desire.
"Admiralty Today". Actually, I'm not sure what Horatio's strongest desirie is, but that sounds good enough...
What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Henry DeTamble) and 1 (The Doctor) to work together?
Oh, that is the best ever! They're both time travellers, so it would probably involve the Doctor realising that Henry is a time traveller, but that he does it genetically. The Doctor would get all freaked out, but possibly it would end in tiemsex. Or not, because that would be unfair on Clare.

Henry's American, so that would count against him somewhat. It would depend which of them were more concerned with protecting the good of England. I'm guessing George might be on Gandalf's side. Let's face it, Gandalf would be more dangerous, Henry would just vanish on you.

Jeeves? Charging into battle? HA! He'd probably let out a little "Tally-ho" or something.

Let's see, Obi Wan Kenobi could use the Force to get the pancake. But that would be greed, which is bad. The Doctor could use his sonic screwdriver somehow to make a diversion and distract everyone. Since he's never showed any scruples in that area, I'm sure he'd win. Sam Tyler has no advantages, and would thus lose out. Except it would probably remind him of the last time he ate scallion pancakes in the present day and he'd freak out.

Ianto, I reckon. Because the Bursar would run into the other wizards, and then they'd all be trying to work out the best way of reaching the destination, but get so caught up bickering that Ianto would win easily.

They're both reliable. It's just that because Horatio is a sea-going man and Elizabeth is a landlubber woman, they'd have different perspectives. It would depend on the situation whose version you'd give more weighting to.
