Books 14 - 27 - Romance

I'm too tired to link all my books through to amazon and colour link everything so today I'm just going to list the books that I've read since last posting (which has been a while).

Again it was a mixed bag.

14. Dark Celebration by Christine Feehan - Almost didn't get through it. The same scene repeated over and over again. Was really disappointed with this one. The reunion could have been handled much, much better.

15. Santa Baby by Jennifer Cruise - I think this was good but considering I can't remember a thing about it I can't say honesty that it must have been that good, lol.

16. Heartmate by Robin D Owens - I enjoyed this...as simple as that.

17. No Rest For the Wicked by Kresley Cole - I am completely in love with Cole's characters and her writing. I have her next vampire book on my to-read pile. She's become an automatic buy for me.

18. Animal Instincts by Gena Showalter - Another author who I shamelessly adore. Her novels never disappoint. Original and steamy.

19. Hotspell (Anthology) - I bought this for Emma Holly's novella and she never disappoints but I enjoyed the other novella's too.

20. Wicked Nights by Nina Bangs - Alright...don't think I would read anymore of her work though.

21. Awaken Me Deadly by Gena Showalter - I can't shut up about how fantastic Gena's writing is. I'm a bit weary and over some writing and Gena is my proverbial breath of fresh air. Her idea's and execution are completely original. This is the first of this series and I'm glad after all this time I picked it up. This book put her on my automatic buy list.

22. Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank - Another one that I'm having trouble remembering (Even though I'm only 24 my memory seems to be going...how sad is that). I do remember that I liked it and that I've ordered her next book as as a result of reading this.

23. Enslave Me Sweetly by Gena Showalter - The second book in the Alien Huntress series. Truly worth your time and effort to read.

24. Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian - I hesitated to get this book but I'm really glad I bit the bullet and did.

25. Kiss Me Forever by Rosemary Laurey - I really, really wanted to like this author and this series (mostly cause I was looking for another good vampire series). I'm sad to say that I didn't like either. I thought that Rosemaries writing was bland. Nothing made me want to read on. Only my hatred of leaving a book half read kept me from going on.

26. Love Me Forever By Rosemary Laurey - The torture continues. You might ask why I read another of her novels if I hated the first one so much. The sad truth is I purchased these two novels as one book and again I don't like to leave things half read and hoped against hope it would get better in her next novel. It didn't.

27. Dark Lover by J R Ward - The first of the series. I have had these books (I bought the first three books of the series) sitting on my bookshelf for somewhere between six months and a year and for some reason I kept putting of reading them. What an idiot I was. This book was fantastic. I loved everything about it. Can't wait to read the next two and then I'm ordering whatever else has been written in the series.

That's it. I didn't get as much read as I wanted to this year but considering I swapped jobs twice (I work full time) and I study part time at night I think I've done a pretty good job having read this much.

Will definately be doing this next year.
