long time no post
Well, my posting about the trail ride died off when my dad and I got super busy with home renovations. I will finish putting those posts up but not until I finish the renovations, which will take a little while longer.
The wall that once stood between the kitchen and dining room is no more. It is amazing what a difference that has made. My new tile floor looks awesome (pics on Facebook). Now is the tedious work of making the drywall patch look good, cutting and staining the wood trim and the oak beam for the ceiling, and talking with cabinet makers about my desired kitchen island. I had thought I would use the same guy who did my cabinet over the microwave, since he did a beautiful job, but he is out of business. Thankfully, a friend of mine is a carpenter and while he does not do cabinetry, he was able to recommend some one. I have a handful of people, including the one recommended by JB, working on estimates for me and hopefully that will proceed soon. Painting is also happening in the kitchen.
And now I have two very frustrated dogs telling me I have to retrieve the ball from underneath the sofa. Never mind that there are 2 balls on the deck and at least one in the backyard - they want to tease each other with that one ball.
