I am shocked that people are not more pissed off about it or laughing their incredulous asses off because it's all so completely bullshit. And do NOT apologize for being angry and frustrated about it. That's what they want and what they depend on to pass this shit into law AGAIN is women being too afraid of their own "crazy" emotions to stand up when something is really, truly fucked up and wrong.

I think you're right. I think as we start to make real progress with equality and diversity, they are seeing how that is going to make their power slip a little. They will not be better, stronger, more powerful, more in control than people of other races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, etc. They will finally be the same decaying organic matter as everyone else and yeah, that scares them. And good, it should. But no, we can't take it for granted. Part of the power they are getting in this area is that women are not taking the threat seriously enough. They've become used to the idea that it can be taken for granted and it sucks that it can't be, but it CAN'T be.
