In my fourth edition, I'll review the miscellaneous creams and massage bars I've tried:
Business Time Massage Bar - This massage bar came in the "Shave the Planet" gift set, but I would have bought it anyway. I needed an alternative to the glittery massage bars, but wanted one that smelled nicer than
Wiccy. This one has a very pleasant scent and turns into oil when it touches your skin. For this reason, it becomes slippery when you hold it. I'm also convinced it raised my boyfriend's libido over the weekend (TMI?) which is fitting since it's based on the
Flight of the Concord's song of the same name.
Cosmetic Lad Moisturizer - This moisturizer also came in the "Shave the Planet" gift set. As many online reviewers have said, it smells EXACTLY like an orange cream soda on your face. Thankfully, it feels a lot nicer than that. It also seems to absorb super fast.
Fair Trade Foot Lotion - I bought the Fair Trade Foot Lotion because the first ingredient is Arnica. I've had GREAT experience with Arnica on sore muscles, after it was recommended by several medical providers for my tendonitis. I love the smell of this product (subtle mint), and in my experience it soaks up quickly without residue. BONUS: When I picked it up, the shop clerks sang (in harmony)"FAIR TRADE FOOT LOTION!" I still can't figure out if this was planned or not.
Glitterbug Massage Bar - This massage bar feels smooth and smells great. The glitter lasts FOREVER, and I mean that after two showers it was still all over my body. My boyfriend wasn't happy at all the sparkles that rubbed off on him, but I loved it. The massage bar also seems to last, which gives it a lot of bang for your buck.
Hand Gurugu Hand Cream - I tried all the hand creams and liked the smell of this one the best. I can't explain the physics behind all the times I've used this hand cream and it STILL looks just like when I bought it, so I'm pretty sure it will last me all year. The scent is so amazing that it forces me to sniff my hands all day, which I'm sure looks weird (but I don't care). It feels a little greasy at first, but it absorbs quickly.
Razorantium Shaving Cream - I had such high hopes for this one, since it claims to eliminate that "5 o'clock shadow" that plagues burly men. My boyfriend disliked the smell, but I was rather fond of it (it made me want to eat his face). It probably isn't too bad because he'll still use the stuff I already purchased on Ebay.
Shave the Planet Shaving Cream - My boyfriend came to Lush with me during the promotion for this new product and tried every single shaving cream. This is the only one he liked. It does smell scrumptious, and it seems to do the trick. After using the sample, he kept asking me about it for a week, which he doesn't remember, but nevertheless he did. I think that's a good sign.
Next time I'll be finishing up with reviews of solid shampoo bars and deodorants.
