I just posted this on the forums, but I had to share! After missing the bulk of the US post-holiday sale, I jumped at the chance to order from the UK. I ordered £32.06 of products, qualified for the £10 freebie, and got the cheap shipping. I placed another order for £81.87, qualified for the £20 freebie, and again got the cheap shipping. Then I went on the forums and realized that the shopping cart hadn't properly factored in the weight of the freebies and totally freaked out that I would be slammed with the additional charges to ship my too-heavy orders. I emailed customer service and asked them to cancel the orders if they were going to be in the higher shipping brackets. Then I realized that I should just Skype them... so I did, the friendly phone associate said she'd canceled both orders. Whew.
So I came home today to a BIG LUSH UK PACKAGE. Uh oh. Before I opened it, I checked my credit card accounts... and yes, there was a LUSH UK charge. For... $15.07? That's all I could find. There's no way either order was only $15.07! So I opened the box and found PART of my first order.
It's totally weird. I had ordered 1 Ruby Red Slippers, 2 Strawberry Santa, 1 Frothy, 1 Lavender Blissard, 1 Plum Duff, 1 Silver Cloud, 1 Shave the Planet, 1 Bling Crosby, 1 GFB jelly, 1 Snow Showers, 1 Two Timing Tart, and of course the £10 freebie. My order contains just the last four items... and the £10 freebie!! The invoice is for £10.81 (which is the $15.07 on my credit card) and no shipping. Also, the order number is different than either of my orders and the order time/date doesn't match either. But it's my last four items, my name and address, and even my special wrapping instructions on the slip! I am boggled. I can't figure out how this happened. I also have no email response to my cancellation, but I also called. The website says "pending" still.
I can definitely use the items I received (and the freebies - Ruby Red Slippers, Snowcake, Snow Fairy, and Mr. Butterball) and the price was a steal because they dropped the shipping and gave me the £10 freebie with a £10.81 order. I'm not even sure if I should email them, or what to say. It would cost me more than $15.07 to mail it back! This is just bizarre. And I'm now wondering if some random fraction of my £81.87 order is going to magically appear on my doorstep. Or, you know, a pony.
