Lushies --

I'm new to the community and relatively new to Lush. I was hoping to get some advice on skincare.

I don't really know what my skin type is: )

moisturizers, cleansers, advice: skincare

I have incredibly moody oily skin and have been using herbalism and also using coal face on nights that I feel really greasy. The vanishing cream was given to me but made my little zits become irritated and look like boils! it was scary. My large pores get much smaller when I do a mask at least twice a week (I notice it right away) I have cosmetic warrior (my fav.) and cupcake (also quite good) and those have shrunk the pores on my nose, chin and cheeks.
I do use tea tree oil in my routine (the body shop kind mostly because I have had it) and I *think* it helps (at least as a placebo effect).

good luck
I feel your skin-frustrations!

If you've found FF too drying, I'd say definitely try Herbalism & Imperialis. At first the enzymion probably worked, but I only use that on days when I feel very oily, and then I avoid my cheeks. Good luck!
I have t-zone oily-ness, no major problem with acne though.

For cleansers: Herbalism. It has a vinegar base.

Do you know of any other LUSH facial products that have vinegar? I'm sensitive to almonds so I can't use Herbalism.

set "skin types" are a bit of a beauty myth. our skin changes all the time.

is there something that you want to tackle first? and you mention acne, but is it acne or just a couple of zits? if it is acne, please do not use FF, herbalism or angels on bare skin. aqua marina and ultrabland is the only way forward ( ... )

I'm using Celestial right now and I love it. I alternate between Ocean Salt and Fresh Farmacy and I use Breath of Fresh Air as a toner.

Ultrabland is also A+. I love it.

I second the Ultrabland recommendation. I have reactive, acne-prone combination skin and I thought Ultrabland was absolutely unsuited to my skin type (too heavy, too oily, etc). Then I tried it. It is now my permanent all-time night cleanser. It's very soothing and balancing on my skin.
