Lushies --

I'm new to the community and relatively new to Lush. I was hoping to get some advice on skincare.

I don't really know what my skin type is: my T-zone is usually oily (my nose much more so than my forehead and chin), but my cheeks are sometime oily, sometime dry and pealing, sometimes fine. Plus, I have a LOT of discoloration from previous acne. I guess it sounds like combination/sensitive skin maybe, but the oily areas are intensely oily (to the point that a dermatologist told me, "I usually don't recommend patients to sit in direct sunlight because it's too drying, but I think your skin could withstand it, no problem.")

I stopped using birth control during the summer and by early October, my face was a warzone: my pores became outrageouly large, both my cheeks were red and inflamed with large pimples. I started using Fresh Farmecy, Tea Tree Water and Enzymion around then and, at first, my face cleared a bit -- a lot of the swelling went down and I thought I would clear up well.

Well... Now my skin is really dry and tight. The acne on my cheeks is stll prominent and starting to peal, without going away. I'm developing new, smaller pimples on my forehead, which weren't there a month ago. I'm at the point of considering seeing a dermatologist again to talk about Accutane, even with all its weird side effects (I've run the gammet of over-the-counter and perscription products in the past and nothing else worked then either).

I was thinking of trying Herbalism or Aqua Marina, which I keep reading are less drying that FF. And I'm tossed up on moisturizers: Imperialis, for combination skin? Vanishing Cream because it'll take care of some of the oil and some of the discoloration (rose and neroli aid that, no?) I'd like to try samples, but I'd have to go through the website and I don't really know that'd work.

What do all of you think? Any advice would help!
