Your birthday buddy is the son of a couple of SCAdian friends; he is 1 year old today. His parents are planning "half-birthday" celebrations on future June 26ths.
Also, yesterday the president of my local professional group and his longtime girlfriend/partner (I don't think they are married) became the parents of a bouncing baby girl. Yes, on Christmas Day. Believe it or not, months ago they decided to call her Mary.
