Ainosuke knows that it is now pass midnight. The chilly wind is blowing real hard. Both Ainosuke and Ryu are sitting under the memorable tree, embracing each other tight- trying to get so warmth from it.
“Ah-chu!!!” Ryu sneezes in his brother’s arm, shivering as he goes. “Huuuuuuuuuuu…” the baby begins to grow impatient.
“Shhh….” Ainosuke pats Ryu’s curled back. He takes the last portion of the baby formula and feed the younger one- hoping that the lukewarm milk heats up Ryu’s body even just by a little.
Indeed it does. Ryu is sucking his milk fast. His body stops shaking, and his head is now back on Ainosuke’s chest.
For a moment regrets crosses Ainosuke’s heart.
He is at lost now. He himself feels weak and hungry- so much that he can’t even stand on his feet. Nobody is passing by at night. Ainosuke is literally on his own.
Papa Yabu… tasukette…

Taguchi sits on the living room’s floor. Regret is clearly portrayed on his face.
“It’s all my fault,” Taguchi says in a very low tone.
Koki rolls his eyes. “Yes, it is your fault,” he bluntly blames the guilty boy.
“Koki,” Kamenashi tries to get the situation under control. The last thing he needs at the moment is having two members fighting each other.
“Any news from Hikaru?” Daiki looks at Ryutaro.
The youngest boy shakes his head left and right. “The last time he called me is when he met Inoo-kun in the hospital. He said something about finding them with Inoo-kun and Kudo sensei.”
“Did he mention any specific place?”
“No,” Ryutaro slides his cell phones now and then. “I can’t reach him at all after that.”
“Maybe his cell phone is running out of battery,” Takaki speaks up. “Ne Kamenashi-kun, let’s just call the police.”
“No, it won’t do us any favor,” Kamenashi sits on the empty couch.
“Why not??” Yamada asks.
“If this is brought to the ministry’s attention we might lost the custody for both of them,” the acting-search leader explains.
“Well, then we better do something or we will lost them forever!” Takaki grows impatient. “It’s cold out there, and I believe the kids don’t even have food to feed themselves! How can we sit here and do nothing?”
Kamenashi takes a deep breath. Takaki has his point there.
Soon after Ainosuke and Ryu went missing Taguchi led them to the nearby playground where Ainosuke is supposed to be hiding. Yes, it was a not-so-brilliant plan from the tall boy. Ainosuke was expected to be at one of the nanny’s house near the park- who knows the two brothers very well- and stay until Taguchi comes to get them.
But of course the plan didn’t turn out well. The nanny called Taguchi just after Takenaga left KaTTUN’s residence, telling him that the boys didn’t make it there- causing a huge panic to the mastermind. The scary-side of Koki appears again when Taguchi told the whole group the truth, and without hesitation a quick punch landed on the tall boy’s face. That’s when Hikaru had the idea that Ainosuke might take his brother to the hospital.
However they were once again wrong. No signs of Ainosuke or Ryu there.
“I have to agree with Takaki-kun,” Keito voiced his thought. “Yes, we will loss our custody right. But at this point of time their lives should be our priority. Two little kid wandering by themselves at night is never a good thing. A lot of things can happen- not to mention all the awful stuff if they met the wrong people. Seeing the situation right now I suggest we get help from the police. After all Takenaga-san knew about this problem, there’s actually nothing for us to hide.”
There is a long silence after the lawyer makes his statement. Keito is right, Ainosuke and Ryu’s safety should be prioritized over the custody issue.
But the thought of losing the two babies is killing them- all of them.
“I’ll make the call,” Kamenashi takes out his cell phone from his right pocket, dialing the emergency number as he speaks.
However just before he presses the ‘dial’ button an incoming call appears.
From Nakamaru.
“Moshi moshi,” Kamenashi answers. “Where are you Yuichi?”
“Kamenashi-kun! This is Yuto!” Yuto shouts over the speaker.
“ Are?? Yuto is with Nakamaru-kun?” Yamada frowns. “Isn’t he supposed to be with Chii?”
“Yuto, where are you?” Kamenashi asks. “Why are you with Yuichi? Where’s Tat-chan?”
Koki snatches the cell phone from Kamenashi’s hand and put it on loud speaker mode.
“Ano… well… how can I explain this,” Yuto hesitates for a while.
“Did you find Ainosuke?” Koki immediately throws his question.
“No… not Ainosuke. But… I think.. no, we think…”
“What?!” Koki raises his voice.
“We think we just saw Yabu-kun!!”
“HAH??” everybody stands up in shock.
“That’s impossible! You must be dreaming!” Ryutaro gets closer to the phone. “We were all at the cemetery, we saw his body.”
“I know! But it’s not only me! Nakamaru-kun and Ueda-kun saw him too!”
“Where’s Chii?” Yamada comes forth.
“He’s in the car. It’s hard to explain over the phone. Why don’t all of you come here and see by yourself.”
Everybody that presence looks at each other with curiosity. Goose bumps are all over them; even the ghost-lovers Koki and Ryutaro feel a little chilly after hearing the news.
Kamenashi takes his cell phone back from the other boy. “Tell us where you are and we’ll be right there!”

Ryu opens his eyes. The baby is sitting on Ainosuke’s lap, with his head on the older boy’s chest. Both of them are covered with Ainosuke’s blue sweater to keep them warm.
He sits still, staring at the tired face of his sleeping brother. Maybe because of their close relationship the baby sort of know that Ainosuke is very tired, and not a very good candidate to be ask to play at the moment.
Ryu’ll play alone then.
Ryu pushes his milk bottle to the side. Somehow he pushes it too hard that it rolls so far from the two of them.
“Milk…” the baby talks to himself, slowly crawling down from his brother’s lap and begin to crawl towards his best friend-the milk bottle.
And the closer he gets to the bottle the farther away he is from the sleeping Ainosuke.
“Ah-chu!!” Ryu gives out a small sneeze, rubbing his itchy nose as he sits back on his bum. His milk bottle is now in his hand.
The baby looks around the empty park, blinking his eyes every time the cold wind touches his faces. He later stares at the green grass he is sitting on, looking at it with wonder.
“Ma… ma…” Ryu babbles as he plucks the grass around him. “Eheee!!!” he turns exited seeing the brown ground where the grass was plucked.
Curiously he put them into his mouth.
“Uhukk!!!” the baby coughs as he tastes the bitterness of the grass. He spit them out.
Obviously this is not the same ‘green thing’ that everyone eats at home.
Then slowly he lifts up his head and look at the sky- at the enchanting full moon that is giving out his pretty radiant.
A huge sparkling balloon! Ryu wants that!
Ryu stretches out his hand, trying to grab the beautiful moon. But it is too far from him.
Disappointedly he rests his hand at his sides.
But wait... There’s a balloon in front of Ryu.
“aa-loon,” Ryu starts to crawl again, slowly approaching the moon’s mirror image on the lake not far from him.
Ryu stops for a moment when he reaches the lake’s bank. The damp area makes him colder than before.
But Ryu wants the balloon...
The baby stares at the moon’s image, licking his lower lips as he waits.
He moves his right hand and begins to crawl towards the cold water.
“RYU!!!!!!”
