Phew! We are at the end of this tearful fic. Sorry for giving too much of emotional ride - I’ll supply more tissue next time. Hope all of you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Next fic will be more on a comedy side- promise =) And thanks a million for all the comments and suggestion. I really appreciate them all.

“We have a question for Inoo,” one of the reporters raises his hand. “How does it feel taking the responsibilities as the group leader from Yabu?”
“That’s not really accurate. Yabu is still our leader, I’m just helping him while he’s on hiatus. The feeling? Nothing, we are just going on,” Inoo answers.
“We know Yabu-kun will come back one day. We believe in that,” Chinen adds in.
Another reporter raises her hand. “It has been five months since Hikaru is gone. Would you mind telling us how all of you cope with it?”
Yamada grabs the microphone. “Hikaru-kun is always in our heart. Our thoughts never leave him even for a moment.”
“Will Yabu come to the album launching ceremony?”
“Who knows,” Takaki replies. “I guess all of us will find out next week.”
Yabu switches off the television. It has been five months since Hikaru’s surgery, and Yabu’s disappearance. Looking at the boys’ face in the interview makes him feels a little bit sad and guilty. I’m sorry guys. I can’t do it without Hikaru. It feels strange when your singing partner for ten years is suddenly gone.
“You are giving them such a hard time. I told you, you don’t have to be here,” a man walking slowly with two crutches approaches him.
Yabu smiles. He walks towards the boy and kisses his forehead. “And I’ve told you I can’t sing without you, Hika.”
“Ya ya…,” Hikaru tries to get onto the sofa. “But you can’t baby-sit me forever you know.”
“It wont’t be forever, because you are improving so much! You’ll be able to dance again pretty soon!” Yabu excitedly rubs Hikaru’s head, messing his newly-grown hair.
“Heh, let me walk without these crutches first ok?”
The two boys laugh.
“I’ll take care of you till my heart stops beating. I promise,” Yabu rest his head on Hikaru’s lap.
Hikaru miraculously survive the surgery. However he had some trouble moving his lower limbs since. He could barely wiggle his toes, left over to walk. It was a challenging time for both Hikaru and JUMP. But they refuse to give up. With some help from the surgeons, Hikaru was put under the paralysis neurological studies where a group of specialist conducts series of medical trials to help people with paralysis to get on their feet again. Understanding the risk, they accepted the offer. They left for States immediately, as the research base is in that country.
But leaving JUMP behind is another heart-sore for Yabu. He knows the other members understand his situasion, that’s why they suggested Yabu to go along with Hikaru. Mr. Johnny has been supportive too. Yabu is so grateful to have these people around.
“Tadaima!” Akanishi opens the front door. “Hmm…I smell Japanese food,” he directly walks to the dining table.
“Okaeri,” both Yabu and Hikaru reply at the same time. “Have you bought the tickets?”
Akanishi nods, with his hand picking some of the takoyaki from the plate. “Everything is set. We’ll be leaving for Tokyo tomorrow. And yes, I get you the disability seat, so don’t worry.”
“Arigato,” Hikaru thank his senpai.
“Ah…I can’t wait to see Kame. I miss him so much!” the hungry boy keep talking while his mouth is busy munching. “And who knows Taguchi will finally get married!”
Yes, Taguchi’s marriage gives them an excuse to get back home. The shocking news came to them last week when his invitation card came to the apartment. What is worse he hides his bride’s name, stating that they will only know the person if they come.
“Yosh, I’ll pack our stuff. Let's go and meet the so-called pretty bride. I hope it’s not Tanaka-kun,” Yabu jokes.
“Taguchi and Koki?” Akanishi stops munching, sitting still for a while before shaking his head. “That will be a disaster!”

“Yabu-kun!!” Chinen runs towards the older boy and hugs him tight.
“You’ve grow so much Chii!” Yabu hugs him bag, patting his head.
“Okaeri!” the boys cheerfully welcome them into the huge beach house. Kame, Keito and Daiki help to put their luggage in their bedroom, while Akanishi is carrying the sleeping Hikaru.
“Hikaru-kun must be too tired,” Yamada places a pillow on the couch. Akanishi lays the thin boy down slowly, trying not to wake him up.
Yabu puts on Hikaru’s blanket. “He just took his medication, hence he’s a bit sleepy,” he kisses Hikaru’s forehead. “So, where’s the bridegroom?”
“Ta daaaa!!!!!” Taguchi suddenly hops into the living room in a fluffy white gown and a flower on his head. “Okaeri!”
The audience burst into laughter. Somehow he looks so cute in that dress.
“What the heck?” Akanishi whacks the ‘bride’, still laughing uncontrollably. “Don’t tell me you are wearing this tomorrow.”
“I lost a bet during the bachelor party last night, and Koki makes me wear this the whole day today,” Taguchi explains.
“Isn’t he pretty?” Koki playfully plays with the flowers in Taguchi’s hand. “But Rita will be much prettier tomorrow.”
“Rita?!” Hikaru suddenly shouts. “You are marrying Rita?”
“You wake up,” Yabu sits next to Hikaru.
“You guys laughed too loud. No one can sleep in such noise. But back to the question; you are marrying Rita?” Hikaru asks once again.
Taguchi spins around twice before bowing to the other boys. “Yes, I’m marrying your cousin. So, yoroshiku onegaishimau aniki!” he hugs Hikaru.
“Ewwww!!!” Hikaru pushes Taguchi onto the other sofa. “Don’t call me that! You are much older than me!”
Laughter fills the air again. Poor Taguchi being teased non-stop not only by KAT-TUN, but also JUMP.
Akanishi lick his lips naughtily. “Oh my pretty bride, let me see your beautiful frame,” he moves towards Taguchi.
“Wait, what are you doing! No no no, don’t! Ahh!!!!!” Taguchi runs when realizing Akanishi tries to rip his white dress.
“Yeah! Let’s strip Taguchi before his wedding!” Koki joins in, followed by Nakamaru and Ueda. The five boys are running around the house with Taguchi trying to escape. They are all laughing and smiling, enjoying the moment of childishness.
“I want to see you in that dress,” Hikaru whispers to Yabu, making the older boy blush.
“Only when you can chase me like that,” Yabu teases his boyfriend. They look at each other, and their lips getting closer.
“Gotcha!” Takaki snaps a photo of the two boys.
“Yabu-kun, Hikaru-kun. Intimacy is not allowed in public,” Ryutaro takes the camera from Takaki.
“Yes, especially in front of a kid,” Takaki pats Ryutaro’s head.
Ryutaro pushes Takaki’s hand aside. “I’m not a kid!”
“Yes you are.”
“No, I’m not!”
“You are, kiddo!” Takaki runs upstairs when Ryutaro starts to chase him.
Yabu and Hikaru laugh. Some thing just doesn’t change.
“I’ll get you something to drink,” Yamada who has been watching since the beginning heads to the kitchen.
The two boys watch as Yamada walks to the kitchen. Hikaru rest his head on Yabu’s shoulder, his hands are holding Yabu’s tight.
“I’m blessed to have all of you,” Hikaru murmurs. “Especially you,” he kisses Yabu’s hand.
Yabu gently strokes Hikaru’s head. “I’m lucky to have you too. Just work hard and get better soon ok?”
Hikaru nods, slowly moves his head closer to his boyfriend, and plant a kiss on the sweet soft lips.
Yabu doesn’t want to know what happened to Taguchi as he hears him shouting from the other hall. Well, he somehow knows the answer when Akanishi suddenly pulls Kame to their room with a white gown in his hand.
All of a sudden the lights go out.
“Surprise!!!”
There is a huge cake on the table in front of the two boys when the lights are turned on again, with everyone in JUMP circling around them.
Get well soon, we miss our Hikaru and Mama.
That was written on the cake which has numerous strawberries decorating it.
“I bet you can tell who makes the cake with that amount of strawberries,” Inoo grins, looking at Yamada. “We have a request for both of you,” he gives a signal to Keito. “Please sing with us. We miss your voices.”
Keito takes out his guitar and start plucking it. Hikaru and Yabu recognize the melody- Star Time.
Yabu starts to sing, followed by Hikaru. It has been a while since the two sing together, so this ‘live performance’ brings back all the nostalgic memories they have spent together.
JUMP joins in when the chorus come. They are all embracing each other as they are singing. Koki, Nakamaru, Ueda and the half naked Taguchi join the crowd, fitting in where they could- trying to sing where they can.
They clap together when the song ends, hugging each other as the melody is finishing.
“To Hikaru-kun,” Yuto stands up. “We want you to know that we love you so much. Keep doing your best in your treatment, and be assure that our love are always with you. We’ll be waiting the day when you get back and we will jump together once again. Gambate Hikaru-kun!”
A loud cheer comes from the crowd.
Inoo gets on his feet. “To Yabu-chan. We want you to know that we admire your courage in taking care of Hikaru-chan. But we miss your cooking and the way you nag to all of us every morning. Please make sure Hikaru recover soon, then come back and JUMP with us once again. We’ll be waiting!”
Another round of applause. Yabu and Hikaru smile, they are so touched by the speeches. And just now they realized how much they miss the group, and how deep they wanted to be with them again.
The time will come when JUMP will be together once more. Yabu believes it, and he knows the others believe in that too.
The moment will come when Hikaru will once again conquer the dance floor with JUMP, and they will dance till the last bit of their songs.
They believe in it.
And when the time comes Hikaru will properly walks Yabu down the aisle, heading to the place where they will say their vow towards each other, then he will proudly kiss his groom.
The time will come.
Takaki suddenly stands up when he finished his share. He takes another slice of cake with his hand.
“Who wants a cake fight?!!”
