It is a beautiful day in London Town (at least it was before I descended to my underground lair) and 44 days until we decide whether we want our city to be run by an effective politician who has improved our transport system in a number of ways, won us the olympic bid, isn't afraid to institute conteversial policies and cares about the environment, or whether we want in to be run by a monkey in a fright-wig who has no feaseable policies, stands for nothing but himself, makes obviously false promises to the electorate and is either deeply stupid and devorced from reality or a right bastard. Do we want to elect someone based solely on the fact that he's a minor celebrity (purely for the idiotic things he's always doing)? I certainly don't. Vote Ken!
Also, the Lib Dem guy doesn't seem that bad.
For those of you who don't live in London,
webcomic recs!

Friendly Hostility, my all-time favorite, this was originaly a spin-off from
Boy Meets Boy, but in my opinion surpasses the original. Follows the lives of partners Fox and Collin, the Demon who used to live in their fridge, Fox's rather odd family and Colin's slave who he won in a game of poker. Among others.

Gunnerkrigg Court, a comic about a boarding school which contains both fantasy and science-fiction elements. And spooky scary things...
-
Minus, about a little girl who has the power to do anything, this is beautifully surreal and just plain beautiful.
-
Anders Loves Maria, a Swedish comic about a couple whose names you can probably guess, this is a bit depressing at the moment as Anders and Maria are actually going out with other people. It has been invaluable though in letting me know that in Sweden the sound-effect for anal sex is 'Bork, bork, bork' which does make me think of the Swedish Chef doing the nasty. Which is good, but also very very bad.

Shortpacked, which surely eveyone already reads. If not, go read it! I has both Batman and Transformer jokes. Also sombreros.
-
Raising Hell, which is mostly about zombies. And drinking. And zombies. And sex. But not with the zombies.
-
History Comics, the most recent couple of which don't make much sense if you aren't Canadian, but after that are awesome. I especially like the one about Robspierre.
-
Three Panel Soul, by the same people of the sadly now defunct
Mac Hall (read it!) vignettes from the post-university life of the creators.
-
Megatokyo, surely everyone has read this! Surely!

Simply Potterific, one for all the Harry Potter fans out there. Takes a while to get on the ball, but after that this is superb.
